The Pipeline
We have identified and are developing several potent small molecule inhibitors of the NLRP3 Inflammasome. Our drugs can be taken orally and block NLRP3 inflammasome activation very precisely. By selectively targeting NLRP3, our therapies have the potential to stop harmful disease causing inflammation, whilst still allowing beneficial inflammation.
The following pipeline describes plans for our candidate drugs.
Inzomelid is a potent, selective, brain-penetrant NLRP3 inhibitor that is currently in Phase Ib.
Somalix is a potent, selective, peripherally restricted NLRP3 inhibitor that has completed Phase I.
Our 3rd candidate is a potent, selective, peripherally restricted NLRP3 inhibitor.
Research
Inflazome is exploring tissue-specific inhibitors for Inflammatory bowel disease (e.g Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's) and Dermatological diseases (e.g Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis).
Our Partnerships
Inflazome has partnered with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, who provided funding in excess of US$1 million to support the development of a brain imaging probe for patient diagnosis and the clinical development of drugs to treat neurodegenerative diseases.
We are open to partnering with Biotech and Pharma companies with excellent clinical development and marketing capabilities to.
NLRP3 inhibitors have the potential to change the lives of millions of people. Inhibiting NLRP3 at the key point of inflammation may help slow the progression of diseases such as Parkinson’s and could help prevent life threatening cardiovascular events.
